Overview
On a 2-day tour from Fez to Erg Chebbi, take in the breathtaking splendor of the Middle Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert. View Berber villages on the mountainside then take a journey by camel to a Berber camp in the desert to spend the night.
Early in the morning our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Fez and take you to the southern region of Morocco.
You’ll stop in Ifrane, which is referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco, to take in its splendor and get some priceless images. You will then proceed to Azrou to visit the monkeys in the cedar forest after that.
going on to Midelt to a restaurant for lunch. We will travel through Tizi N Talghamt Pass in the late afternoon to reach Errachidia while taking in the scenery of Ziz Gorges. You’ll stop later for a panoramic vista of the Ziz valley.
After going through Erfoud ( which is well-known for its fossils and dates), on the way to the Erg Chebbi Dunes, you might want to stop by a nearby workshop that makes fossil crafts.
You will then continue to the fascinating Erg Chebbi dunes. Merzouga Dunes is another name for these sand dunes. You will prepare for a two hour-long camel trek to see the sunset as soon as you arrive.
You will go farther to the camp on the back of your dromedary where you will spend the night in a tent in the desert.
Dinner and an overnight stay in a bivouac amid the sand dunes with a performance of Saharan music are included.
Today get up early to view the most amazing sunrise of your life from the top of a dune near the camp.
This experience is a must-do in the middle of the desert.
After breakfast, we will take the camels back to Merzouga and begin our journey to the north through the largest palm grove in the world, Tafilalet.
Along the 20km route, you’ll observe a lot of palm trees.
This route takes us to the Ziz valley, where a river flows into a palm grove after flowing down from the high Atlas.
Here, we pause and take in the breathtaking view of the valley once more, and the village of Aoufous from this elevated vantage point. We stop again in Midelt, you’ll have some free time to have lunch and take a break.
We proceed into the Cedar forest in the afternoon, and if we’re lucky, we might spot some monkeys there.
Our next stop is the city of Ifrane, which is 1630 meters above sea level and located on the Middle Atlas’ northwest slope.
This city resembles a Swiss town because of its wide avenues, immaculate urban development, gardens, green spaces, and architectural style.
In Morocco, in Ifrane , you can find Michlifen which is a significant ski resort. When we reach Fez at 6 o’clock in the evening, the driver will drop you off at your lodging, marking the end of our services.
